Founded in 1927 The University of Hull has campuses in Hull, Yorkshire and a smaller campus in the beautiful English coastal town of Scarborough. The late poet Philip Larkin, the UK Poet Laureate Andrew Motion and Oscar-winning film maker and writer Anthony Minghella all taught at the university. The journalist and broadcaster John McCarthy, poet Roger McGough and the Labour politician John Prescott were graduates of Hull and the university has a strong reputation for excellence. There are now more than 23,000 students enrolled and the university offers a full range of study programs at all levels. |
